Terms, in readable English
Here are the ground rules — for this website and for any job we run across Shelby County and the Mid-South. Straightforward language, no buried clauses. Requesting a quote or booking a date means you accept what’s here.
The signed figure stands
Each binding estimate goes out with a signature — Yolanda’s or mine on the printed page. That page is the price. Just three things can change it: you add items, you add a stop, or you move the date once the truck is booked. Any of those, and we write and sign a new figure before we lift a thing — no meter, no surprise charge.
Cancel or reschedule
- Three days out or more — we refund the deposit in full.
- One to three days out — it becomes a credit toward any move you book inside the next year.
- Day of — the deposit stays with us, since your slot cost us other bookings.
Items we can’t carry
A handful of things stay off the truck by law and by common sense: propane, gasoline, fireworks, loaded firearms and live rounds, food that will spoil, jewelry, cash, and any houseplant heading over a state line. Load those in your own vehicle and keep them with you.
Coverage and liability
Every shipment includes the federal released-value baseline — sixty cents per pound per article — at no cost. Carrying something of real value? Say so in advance and we’ll add full-value protection, good for a shipment worth up to $1,000,000. You get nine months from delivery to file a claim.
Getting to your door
Saving curb space at both ends falls to you — or warn us early if the only approach is a gated drive, a cramped Downtown alley, or a freight elevator needing a reservation, and we’ll shuttle it. Rain or a January ice glaze is on us, no charge. Metered and permit spots on tight Downtown blocks are yours to cover unless we’ve written it in.
Our content, and governing law
All of this — route pages, area guides, the pricing tables — is our work and not free to reuse. Link out to any of it you like; the one thing not to do is paste our wording onto a rival’s site. Tennessee state law applies to everything set out in this agreement.
