Local pricing in brief

  • $124/hr covers two movers, the truck, and all the pads, dollies, shrink-wrap and wardrobe boxes.
  • $174/hr puts a third mover on for heavier loads and the carries that run long.
  • Once you’re crossing a state line, that becomes a binding flat figure written down before we load — you won’t get hit with a fuel charge on arrival.

Licensing and coverage

Interstate work runs on our own US DOT and MC authority; local jobs fall under Tennessee household-goods authority. Coverage kicks in free at the federal floor of $0.60 a pound per article. Prefer more protection? Full-value coverage can reach $1,000,000 on a single shipment, with a nine-month window to bring any claim once we’ve delivered.

Do you move me yourselves, or just arrange a mover?

When should I lock in a date?

They are. The truck arrives loaded with pads, dollies, shrink-wrap and wardrobe boxes at no charge, and a full-pack crew can box out the entire home if you'd rather skip it.
What happens if there's more to move than we figured?
We put a fresh price on paper before lifting anything. A quote only shifts for three reasons — more items, an added stop, or a new date — and never from a meter quietly ticking up.
Can you move a piano, a safe, or antiques?
Absolutely. Reggie's handled uprights, gun safes and antiques for years — two people, proper pads and straps, and a flat line written into your estimate.
Do stairs or an elevator cost extra?
One ordinary staircase or a functioning elevator won't change the hourly. We only mention it ahead of time if a carry is exceptionally long or a piece calls for an extra hand.

    Wrap & pad

    Nothing gets carried until it is protected: blankets and shrink-wrap go over the furniture, the upright is belted and padded, and the door frames and hardwood are covered.

  3. 9:30a

    Loading begins

    Piece by piece the crew works the load out, down the staircase and through the doorway, strapping each item onto the truck and marking it against the inventory before the next one moves.

    On the road to the new place

    That same Memphis truck, with the same crew who loaded it, heads straight to your new door — the job is never handed off and no relay carrier ever takes the load partway.

In Terrance’s own words

When I put my name on Community Moving Crew back in 2012, I set one rule and have never once bent it: whatever figure goes in writing is the figure you pay once your last box is inside, with not a dollar dreamed up after the truck is loaded. Our trucks are bought and paid off, and no hand on my crew touches a family’s piano or heirloom before that mover has earned it, learning the trade at my side.
